The impressive Terengganu Museum was officiated by late Sultan Mahmud al-Mukhtafi Billah Shah, the Sultan of Terengganu Covering an area of 27 hectars, the complex has a total floor space of 75.075m.
It consists of 4 blocks of the main Museum, a Maritime Museum, 5 traditional houses and a landscaped area, Islamic Gallery, Textile Gallery, Royal Gallery, Historical Gallery, Craft Gallery, Petroleum Gallery consists of the main Building. Two galleries at the Maritime Museum is Marine Park Gallery and Seafaring Gallery.
